Staff Field Applications Engineer – FAE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical authority for power and analog solutions.

• Assist in system-level design collaborations with major clients.

• Conduct technical design evaluations, root-cause investigations, and hands-on troubleshooting for intricate analog and power-related challenges.

• Steer new product assessments and competitive positioning for Renesas' power and analog offerings.

• Carry out substantial hands-on laboratory activities, such as board bring-up, measurement, validation, and failure analysis.

• Aid in system-level design integration, ensuring synchronization between power, processor, and connectivity subsystems.

• Offer direct technical support to customers to expedite designs from initial concept to production revenue.

• Provide field insights to product divisions, shaping the roadmap, prioritizing features, and identifying system solution gaps.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE preferred).

• Over 8 years of experience in Analog and Power Electronics (in customer-facing or design roles).

• Build strong relationships with sales teams, FAEs, and distribution partners.

• Collaborate closely with product marketing and business unit teams to ensure alignment between field requirements and roadmap.

• Guide customers through power design obstacles, from architecture through debugging and production readiness.

• Provide practical, system-level feedback to influence new product development.

• Support cross-functional collaborations where power is a key system dependency.

• Deliver technical presentations, customer training sessions, and design workshops.
