Field Service Engineer – Field Remote

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional customer support through on-site installations.

• Supervise necessary diagnostics, troubleshooting, servicing, and repair of sophisticated equipment and systems.

• Educate customers on the operation and maintenance of the system.

• Collaborate with customers to comprehend their analytical workflows and customize service offerings, including training, support, and upgrades.

• Manage assigned resources, including tools, test equipment (MTE), telecommunication devices, and inventory of service parts.

• Improve PerkinElmer’s product quality by actively reporting opportunities for enhancement through the quality notification process.

• Fulfill all administrative duties, including but not limited to time reporting and completing assigned training.

• Ensure training and compliance in areas regarding health and safety, security, and environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the workplace.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, along with 3 years of direct experience in laboratory equipment repair, or an Associate Degree in the same fields with 5 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma with 7+ years of direct experience in laboratory equipment repair.

• Extensive knowledge of analytical equipment, laboratory settings, and/or instrument control software.

• Certification from vendors for relevant laboratory equipment.

• Understanding of laboratory safety protocols as established by the Company and/or the safety code of the customer’s site.

• Willingness to travel via air, vehicle, or other forms of transportation as required by business needs, typically up to 50% of the time.

• A valid driver’s license and a record of safe vehicle operation.
