Staff ERP Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all essential ERP modules.

• Create and implement tailored solutions utilizing OOP ABAP, RAP, OData services, CDS Views, AMDP, BRF+, and Custom Fields & Logic (CFL).

• Drive Clean Core governance by establishing guidelines to prevent modifications to standard tables and objects.

• Lead discussions and oversee delivery with System Integrators during S/4HANA upgrades, serving as the primary technical liaison.

• Direct the execution of automated testing frameworks (ABAP Unit) for custom repository objects to minimize regression and deployment issues.

• Develop high-performance RAP & OData, ensuring clear separation between backend logic and UI5/Fiori.

• Create developer productivity tools, including VSCODE, SAP ADT scripts, and AI-assistant integrations, to automate connectivity, enforce standards, and speed up onboarding.

• Collaborate on integrations and middleware patterns (e.g., MCP servers for SAP ADT) that programmatically enforce development standards.

• Perform code reviews and offer support for production issues throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Mentor developers and assist with enterprise deployments and comprehensive rollouts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of SAP development experience in both ECC and S/4HANA, with a background in a technical lead role.

• Extensive expertise and hands-on experience in OOP ABAP, RAP, OData services, CDS Views, and AMDP.

• Experience in designing and executing automated/ABAP Unit testing for custom objects.

• Familiarity with functional domains across core ERP modules.

• Demonstrated experience in leading onshore/offshore development teams and delivering enterprise solutions.

• Proficient in version control and modern tools (Bitbucket/Git, SAP ADT).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities, capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
