Staff Engineer, Senior Developer – Elixir, Ruby, Flutter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership for various ongoing custom software initiatives.

• Oversee technical delivery planning, execution, team productivity, technical direction, backlog management, and sprint organization.

• Support teams comprised of 2 to 6 developers, designers, and QA analysts.

• Collaborate with Project Managers to co-lead delivery projects, ensuring they remain within budget and timeline.

• Mentor team members on product development methodologies and the responsible application of AI-assisted tools.

• Coordinate weekly objectives with Project Managers to ensure project alignment.

• Lead CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, AI innovations, environment configurations, and production operations.

• Relay project advancements, challenges, and resource requirements to the COO, Operations Manager, Project Managers, and team members.

• Collaborate with sales and consulting leadership on technical discovery, solution architecture, and project estimates.

• Design, evaluate, and maintain scalable and secure AWS and Azure cloud and server architectures.

• Act as the technical authority on assigned projects, including overseeing QA and pull-request evaluations.

• Engage in pair programming, directly commit to the codebase, and utilize AI tools to enhance delivery speed.

• Assist in pre-sales activities through solution development, scope refinement, and project estimation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience with contemporary software development practices and technologies, creating custom software for diverse clients.

• More than 7 years of experience with Ruby on Rails, Elixir, and Phoenix.

• At least 2 years of experience with Flutter and/or React Native.

• Over 5 years of experience with DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, deployment, and related tooling.

• Practical hands-on experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools in a real production environment.

• Capability to validate AI-generated code against standard testing and review protocols.

• Competence in assessing AI tools and developing repeatable workflows for the team.

• Sound judgment to identify security, privacy, or quality issues arising from AI assistance.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a consultancy environment, not limited to product-based companies.

• Experience in technical discovery, solution design, and project estimation for client-facing and sales prospect efforts.

• Proficiency in setting and managing expectations among team members and management.

• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud monitoring solutions.

• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud architectures.
