Staff Engineer – Automations and Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the architecture and technical strategy for internal automation systems, outlining how the company's technology stack (HRIS, Okta, Salesforce, and more) integrates, scales, and remains manageable.

• Design and oversee cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), encompassing compute, networking, storage, and security aspects.

• Create and automate onboarding and offboarding workflows, which include managing access provisioning and deprovisioning.

• Direct the architecture and lifecycle of internal AI tools (such as Vercel, Supabase, Claude, ChatGPT) — from evaluation to deployment, access governance, and eventual deprecation.

• Ensure that appropriate access controls, principles of least privilege, and audit preparedness are maintained across all systems.

• Set CI/CD standards and error-handling protocols for automation systems to ensure they are reliable, observable, and maintainable at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in managing corporate IT infrastructure within a contemporary, cloud-first setting.

• Proven experience in building or operating AI-driven systems, including the evaluation of LLM tools, managing AI infrastructure, and critically assessing reliability, cost, and governance considerations.

• Strong proficiency with Workato or a similar Integration Platform as a Service (IPaaS), along with MacOS, and management of Okta or comparable Identity Provider (IDP) platforms.

• Exceptional judgment, architectural acumen, and the capacity to navigate complex systems.

• Demonstrated experience in managing SaaS ecosystems and the identity lifecycle (including onboarding and offboarding processes).

• Background in high-growth or startup environments.

• Outstanding stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
