Network Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Overseeing remote hardware assets and resolving issues from a distance.

• Monitoring alerts from servers, routers, switches, and operating systems.

• Addressing notifications in accordance with SLA and assessing their severity.

• Identifying issues with switches and routers to maintain the stability of the Akamai platform.

• Collaborating closely with field technicians, data centers, and Akamai partners for the installation and upkeep of Akamai Network Infrastructure.

• Assisting in the resolution of high-severity technical incidents.

• Creating, developing, and sustaining alerts and runbooks to enhance fault detection and operational transparency.

• Installing, configuring, and fine-tuning network infrastructure while also developing operational tools, automation, and technical documentation to support these efforts efficiently and effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess early-career proficiency in network environments supported by a formal technical background or equivalent practical experience.

• Have familiarity with network technologies and a foundational understanding of networking.

• Understand computer hardware and networking equipment.

• Have experience using data center portals.

• Have a background in a NOC or similar environment.

• Exhibit strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
