Staff Engineer, AI-Assisted Engineering Practices

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Set a strong example by utilizing AI-assisted development strategies to address real-world product and platform challenges, including code generation, test creation, static analysis, and dependency refactoring.

• Collaborate effectively across teams by partnering with product engineers, DevOps, and the Development Platform team to embed AI-driven workflows into current systems and processes.

• Enhance scalability by converting successful techniques into reusable platform services, SDKs, and frameworks that promote widespread adoption throughout the engineering organization.

• Lead special projects by collaborating with product engineering teams on high-impact initiatives such as codebase modernization, performance refactoring, or CI/CD workflow automation to showcase how AI can enhance speed and reliability.

• Mentor and guide engineers on the responsible and effective application of AI in daily development tasks, cultivating a culture of ongoing learning and improvement.

• Influence the future of AI engineering by contributing to the technical strategy regarding the integration of AI into our developer platform, engineering practices, and long-term product delivery roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional experience in software engineering, including technical leadership across teams or groups.

• Strong hands-on coding abilities and experience in delivering production systems within complex codebases.

• Backend or fullstack proficiency in one or more of the following areas: backend technologies (Node.js, Kotlin, Java, Python, Go), frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, Next.js), or mobile (React Native, Swift, Kotlin/Android).

• Proven success in utilizing AI tools to enhance engineering productivity, including:

• - AI-assisted code generation or review

• - Automated test creation and analysis

• - Intelligent refactoring or code quality tools

• - Workflow orchestration using frameworks like LangChain, MCP, or similar pipelines

• Experience with CI/CD workflows, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes), and developer platform tools.

• Demonstrated ability to establish and elevate standards for system design, code quality, and operational excellence.
