Lead AI Engineer – Financial Inclusion

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kenya.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the AI Operations team from the outset - managing delivery, expanding the function, and demonstrating its value.

• Develop and deploy automations and agents that significantly enhance the efficiency of internal teams and customer-facing personnel.

• Ensure the AI tooling stack remains robust as usage expands among over 2,500 employees.

• Keep abreast of new AI tools and technologies - distinguish between trends and genuinely beneficial innovations.

• Assist in refining AI training for the broader organization, including Engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in creating automations — including scripting, workflow tools, or AI-assisted development.

• Proven experience in building agents using agentic frameworks — such as LangChain, MCP, Google ADK, or similar technologies.

• Familiarity with enterprise tooling — including rapid prototyping tools (Vercel/Railway), identity automation (Entra), or internal platforms.

• Leadership experience in managing people — you have led or mentored engineers and can oversee a team's delivery and growth.
