Applied AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop AI agents, workflows, tools, and automations that address genuine customer, product, and operational challenges.

• Implement LLMs, retrieval systems, tool invocation, evaluations, guardrails, and automation within practical financial workflows.

• Design AI-enhanced experiences for onboarding, support, KYC, risk assessment, CRM, operations, document processing, and product intelligence.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to determine valuable projects and rapidly deliver improvements in production.

• Create solutions that account for real-world constraints: accuracy, hallucination risk, latency, cost, security, compliance, and user trust.

• Transform manual processes into dependable AI-driven systems that are capable of scaling.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical engineering skills, rather than just AI strategy or management experience.

• Proven experience in developing AI agents, LLM applications, RAG systems, automation workflows, copilots, or AI-driven tools.

• Strong programming proficiency in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or a similar practical technology stack.

• Sound judgement regarding which processes should be automated and which should remain manual.

• Capable of deploying functional systems, assessing quality, and enhancing reliability over time.

• Experience in fintech, banking, support automation, risk management, KYC, fraud prevention, CRM, or operational automation is highly advantageous.
