This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Take charge of the analytical narrative for your Operating Group (OG). Act as a strategic thought partner among cross-functional teams (PMs, engineers, marketing, finance). You possess an understanding of the roadmaps and users, setting the agenda for the critical questions the OG should be exploring.
β’ Craft compelling stories that inspire action among teams. You'll present to leadership and working groups with clear narratives and a definitive point of view. An insightful observation that fails to prompt action is considered a missed opportunity.
β’ Establish causality using appropriate tools for each situation, including A/B testing, analytics, and causal inference. Collaborate with engineering to implement event instrumentation and work with Product to convert insights into actionable outcomes.
β’ Develop metrics strategies that reflect what truly matters. Work backward from user experiences with the product to create and implement measurement frameworks for your OG, navigating a complex ecosystem with multi-user engagement and diverse interaction methods.
β’ Construct explanations that build upon measurement, always anchoring analysis in the understanding that users are individuals with their own motivations and contexts that the data alone may not reveal.
β’ Shape the AI-native analytics stack. Lead the assessment and adoption of new tools, agent workflows, and practices that promote self-service across the OG, transitioning the team from a reactive stance to a proactive and autonomous approach.
β’ Guide senior individual contributors in causal reasoning, experimental rigor, and workflows enhanced by AI. Elevate the standards of the craft.
β’ Over 8 years of experience in analytics, data science, or decision science roles within a consumer tech environment.
β’ Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (economics, statistics, quantitative social science, operations research) or equivalent practical experience.
β’ Proven experience with causal inference methodologies in practical applications (e.g., difference-in-differences, instrumental variables, regression discontinuity, synthetic controls, propensity score matching).
β’ A history of influencing product or business strategy through data, with specific examples demonstrating cross-functional impact.
β’ Familiarity with experimentation platforms (Statsig, Optimizely, or similar).
β’ Strong proficiency in SQL and Python/R for conducting statistical analysis.
β’ Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
β’ Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance plans (fully covered for US employees). Supplemental plans for medical and dental are available for Canadian employees.
β’ 401(k) plan with a company matching program for US employees and an RRSP with DPSP plan for Canadian employees.
β’ Employee Assistance Program (EAP) focused on mental wellness.
β’ Flexible PTO along with 12 company-wide days off throughout the year.
β’ Synchronized company shutdowns for one week during both winter and summer.
β’ Opportunities for Learning & Development.
β’ Provision of equipment, tools, and reimbursement support for a productive remote work environment.
β’ Complimentary Life360 Platinum Membership for your selected circle.
β’ Access to free Tile Products.
