This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take charge of the analytical narrative for your Operating Group (OG). Act as a strategic thought partner among cross-functional teams (PMs, engineers, marketing, finance). You possess an understanding of the roadmaps and users, setting the agenda for the critical questions the OG should be exploring.
• Craft compelling stories that inspire action among teams. You'll present to leadership and working groups with clear narratives and a definitive point of view. An insightful observation that fails to prompt action is considered a missed opportunity.
• Establish causality using appropriate tools for each situation, including A/B testing, analytics, and causal inference. Collaborate with engineering to implement event instrumentation and work with Product to convert insights into actionable outcomes.
• Develop metrics strategies that reflect what truly matters. Work backward from user experiences with the product to create and implement measurement frameworks for your OG, navigating a complex ecosystem with multi-user engagement and diverse interaction methods.
• Construct explanations that build upon measurement, always anchoring analysis in the understanding that users are individuals with their own motivations and contexts that the data alone may not reveal.
• Shape the AI-native analytics stack. Lead the assessment and adoption of new tools, agent workflows, and practices that promote self-service across the OG, transitioning the team from a reactive stance to a proactive and autonomous approach.
• Guide senior individual contributors in causal reasoning, experimental rigor, and workflows enhanced by AI. Elevate the standards of the craft.
• Over 8 years of experience in analytics, data science, or decision science roles within a consumer tech environment.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (economics, statistics, quantitative social science, operations research) or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience with causal inference methodologies in practical applications (e.g., difference-in-differences, instrumental variables, regression discontinuity, synthetic controls, propensity score matching).
• A history of influencing product or business strategy through data, with specific examples demonstrating cross-functional impact.
• Familiarity with experimentation platforms (Statsig, Optimizely, or similar).
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python/R for conducting statistical analysis.
• Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
• Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance plans (fully covered for US employees). Supplemental plans for medical and dental are available for Canadian employees.
• 401(k) plan with a company matching program for US employees and an RRSP with DPSP plan for Canadian employees.
• Employee Assistance Program (EAP) focused on mental wellness.
• Flexible PTO along with 12 company-wide days off throughout the year.
• Synchronized company shutdowns for one week during both winter and summer.
• Opportunities for Learning & Development.
• Provision of equipment, tools, and reimbursement support for a productive remote work environment.
• Complimentary Life360 Platinum Membership for your selected circle.
• Access to free Tile Products.
