Staff Data Scientist – International, CJKI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and develop the comprehensive data strategy for China, Japan, South Korea, and India.

• Act as the senior analytics partner for country leaders in CJKI and regional marketing teams.

• Ensure that the perspectives of CJKI users are integrated into Canva’s global product and growth initiatives.

• Delve deeper than surface-level metrics to reveal the fundamental drivers of growth and areas of friction.

• Establish top-tier experimentation and measurement standards across the region.

• Supervise the advancement of reliable, scalable data products.

• Serve as a catalyst within the International Data team, providing mentorship to Senior Data Scientists.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data, growth, or product analytics.

• Proven track record of ownership over a significant region, business line, or strategic area.

• Functioned as a trusted advisor to C-level executives.

• Proficient in English and capable of speaking Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, or Korean.

• Establish long-term measurement philosophies and frameworks for success.

• Design and evaluate intricate experimentation programs.

• Proactively address ambiguous and undefined challenges.

• Convey complex concepts with clarity and confidence.

• Extensive expertise in SQL and Python.

• Highly skilled in contemporary analytics stacks and experimentation platforms.
