This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Create, develop, and implement scalable data science, machine learning, and AI solutions that enhance business value.
• Construct production-ready ML pipelines, covering everything from feature engineering and model development to deployment and monitoring.
• Develop AI-driven applications utilizing modern frameworks like Streamlit and integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into business processes.
• Design and manage Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, knowledge bases, and AI agents using both structured and unstructured enterprise data.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to uncover trends, generate insights, and aid in strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert intricate business challenges into scalable AI and analytics solutions.
• Work alongside data engineers, software engineers, analysts, and product teams on cross-functional projects.
• Enhance existing data science processes, identify automation potentials, and advocate for engineering best practices.
• Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proficient programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience in designing and deploying scalable machine learning solutions, encompassing feature engineering, model evaluation, deployment, and MLOps practices.
• Practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), or similar AI frameworks.
• Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, governance, and storage optimization.
• Familiarity with Databricks, PySpark, or distributed data processing platforms.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including APIs, version control, testing, CI/CD, and deployment workflows.
• Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
• Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and technical writing abilities.
• Experience utilizing Agile project management tools like Jira, Confluence, or Trello.
