This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take charge of the product roadmap for innovative growth initiatives that utilize data and partner collaborations to offer customized credit cards, lending, and wealth management solutions, ensuring alignment with the company's overarching vision.
• Formulate and steer the strategy to develop competitive and pioneering financial products that meet customer demands in credit, lending, and wealth management.
• Perform market analysis and competitive research to uncover trends, customer challenges, and opportunities for product enhancement.
• Guarantee that products resonate and hold value for the target audience by thoroughly understanding the financial characteristics, objectives, and challenges of prospective consumers to foster product innovation and customization.
• Oversee product integrations with external partners such as credit bureaus and clients of NerdWallet.
• Efficiently execute on roadmaps for successful product launches and updates by collaborating with data, engineering, marketing, and editorial teams to develop and implement product roadmaps.
• Guide product development projects from conception to launch, which includes defining requirements, establishing timelines, and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Be data-driven: track and evaluate product performance metrics, execute A/B tests, and apply other optimization techniques to enhance user engagement and conversion rates.
• Adopt the perspective of our consumers: connect with the audience we are designing for and consistently bring consumer insights to discussions.
• Mentor and nurture team members, promoting a culture of ongoing improvement and innovation to achieve long-term success.
• Experience: A minimum of 10 years in product management, ideally within a consumer internet or financial technology organization.
• Leadership: A proven history of successfully leading products and driving substantial business results. Strong capability to influence and cultivate relationships at all organizational levels.
• Analytical Skills: Skilled in utilizing data analytics tools to extract actionable insights. Familiarity with A/B testing, SEO, and performance marketing is advantageous.
• Technical Understanding: Capability to collaborate closely with engineering teams and grasp technical concepts. Experience in driving product integrations with third-party APIs, along with knowledge of data science and machine learning, is a plus.
• Consumer-first Mindset: Enthusiastic about crafting intuitive, enjoyable, and valuable product experiences for users.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively convey product concepts and strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred Qualifications: Background in the fintech or financial services sector, particularly in credit cards and wealth management. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks related to consumer finance and investment products.
