This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Engage in the complete data pipeline lifecycle, with an emphasis on developing data lakes, data warehouses, and associated processes.
• Contribute to the design and documentation of our data lake infrastructure.
• Collaborate with senior staff to create and uphold data governance policies and procedures that ensure data quality, accuracy, consistency, and privacy.
• Mentor fellow data engineers, providing technical support and ensuring that team members possess the essential skills and resources for their roles.
• Conduct code and design evaluations with junior and peer developers.
• Write clean code to construct data pipelines and necessary infrastructure as code.
• Assist in establishing coding standards for team members to adhere to.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to comprehend requirements and effectively design suitable solutions.
• Monitor and resolve performance, scalability, and security challenges, implementing improvements as required.
• Assist in identifying and implementing KPIs for the performance and stability of the platform.
• Participate in evaluating new technologies and tools for our data teams.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
• Proven experience in developing modern data architecture, analytics, data governance, AI/ML, or related fields.
• Strong experience with AWS big data technologies, including EMR, Glue, S3, EKS, Lambda, Athena, RDS, and MKS/Kafka/Kinesis.
• Expertise in relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc., along with data modeling principles.
• Familiarity with data pipeline tools and workflow engines, such as Apache Airflow and Spark.
• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments/Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code/AWS CloudFormation/Terraform.
• Strong proficiency in SQL (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and programming languages like Python and Scala.
• Excellent analytical and time management skills, with a proven track record of delivering value independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience in providing technical insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
