Staff Backend Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design and implement context pipelines for AI agents.

• Create actionable task specifications for agents, complete with acceptance criteria and constraints.

• Develop and manage repositories, test suites, and CI/CD pipelines that are agent-ready.

• Act as an AI Champion by conducting workshops, curating workflows, mentoring, and evaluating tools.

• Lead the transition from a legacy monolith to microservices and take charge of bounded-domain decomposition decisions.

• Establish quality benchmarks for GraphQL APIs, RESTful contracts, database schemas, and CI/CD processes.

• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to pinpoint high-impact issues and steer technical direction.

• Mentor senior engineers in minimizing technical debt by leveraging AI as a catalyst.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in utilizing agentic workflows (Claude Code, Cursor Agent, or similar) as a standard practice.

• Expertise in context engineering, which includes repository structure, CLAUDE.md / AGENTS.md configurations, code context, memory management, and tool accessibility.

• Knowledge of model routing trade-offs and orchestration of multiple agents.

• Strong foundation in coding and computer science principles.

• Solid experience in Golang, Java/Kotlin, and familiarity with PHP.

• Background in large-scale web applications and scalable systems.

• Extensive knowledge of scalable distributed systems, CI/CD, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, AWS, along with relational and NoSQL databases.

• Capability to align technical decisions with business objectives.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Proven technical leadership and mentoring abilities.
