Staff Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

• Develop the essential backend services: Design, implement, test, and manage services for context ingestion and indexing.

• Create a robust SaaS infrastructure: Define and construct the architecture for a multi-tenant service.

• Enhance agent-facing retrieval workflows: Develop APIs for AI agents and internal applications.

• Collaborate across product and infrastructure while making practical trade-offs.

• Maintain what you create: Equip services with observability tools.

• Contribute to technical direction: Influence architecture and engineering practices.

• Communicate effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

• Take ownership and make an impact: Assume full responsibility for the AI solutions developed.

• Strong engineering expertise: Significant experience in building production-quality, user-facing software systems.

• AI knowledge with a practical approach: Familiar with AI technologies and frameworks.

• Quick iteration and experimentation: Comfortable with releasing prototypes and refining them.

• Demonstrated initiative: Ability to take ownership and advance projects.

• Team-oriented mindset: Effective communication and solution-focused approach.

• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and developing applications powered by GenAI.

• Proven history of delivering software that has successfully gone into production.

• Familiarity with cloud-native environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Experience utilizing observability tools to analyze and troubleshoot system behavior.
