Staff Backend Engineer – Adaptive Telemetry, Databases

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the formulation of technical strategies and roadmaps.

• Oversee the complete delivery process of significant, cross-functional projects.

• Take responsibility for the architecture, reliability, performance, and cost management of essential systems.

• Establish Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) while spearheading incident response efforts.

• Enhance observability, automation, and operational preparedness.

• Coordinate with stakeholders to eliminate obstacles.

• Mentor and develop engineering talent.

• Act as a representative for engineering both internally and externally.

• Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale distributed systems.

• Strong instincts in systems design.

• Practical experience with cloud services and platform management.

• Ownership of reliability and performance metrics.

• Exceptional coding and design abilities.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.

• Experience with messaging and telemetry systems.

• Ability to influence without direct authority.
