This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +1 more state.
• Manage buyout requests and the termination process for wholesale customer agreements.
• Prepare and evaluate correspondence, ancillary transaction documents, amendments, consents, notices, and various contract-related materials.
• Keep the contracts and matter tracker up to date.
• Deliver regular status updates to the Deputy General Counsel and senior management.
• Assess and enhance standard templates for supply, consignment, and lease agreements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in contract intake, drafting turnaround, and legal support for operational teams.
• Perform additional related tasks as needed.
• Report directly to the Deputy General Counsel.
• 2–5 years of experience in transactional or corporate law, either in-house or in a law firm environment.
• Juris Doctorate degree.
• Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Familiarity with supply, distribution, lease, or M&A transactions is preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial contract law.
• Understanding of UCC Article 2 and Article 9 principles.
• Familiarity with standard secured transaction and M&A documentation.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage a high volume of concurrent matters.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
• Capability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to engage cross-functionally with Operations, Fuel, Logistics, Real Estate, Credit, and Risk Management teams.
• Admission in Virginia or Texas is preferred.
• Remote work eligibility.
