This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Offers legal assistance to low-income clients and client groups, encompassing advice, negotiation, litigation, and administrative advocacy in alignment with program priorities and case-handling policies.
• Reviews and oversees the work output of Community Workers and Clerical support staff concerning all clients he/she advises or represents.
• Engages in significant statewide impact initiatives, including institutional and group litigation or community economic development that benefits the low-income community.
• Fosters leadership in collaboration with community, client, and other advocacy groups on statewide impact issues.
• Coordinates advocacy efforts in specific areas through partnerships with other human services providers, non-profit organizations, and community, client, or other advocacy groups.
• Participates in CRLA training programs, local office case reviews or staff meetings, and other CRLA activities as necessary.
• Delivers community education on legal rights and prepares relevant materials for these presentations.
• Minimum of one (1) year as a licensed practicing attorney.
• Previous litigation experience is a significant advantage.
• Must be admitted to practice law in the State of CA or willing to take the upcoming CA Bar Exam.
• Proven dedication to serving low-income clients.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain positive relationships with a diverse population.
