This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the development of sophisticated algorithms that enhance next-generation sensing technologies.

• Create physics-based, mechanistic, and data-driven models to analyze sensor behavior and enhance measurement accuracy.

• Design and execute algorithms for signal processing, estimation, calibration, detection, and predictive analytics.

• Utilize statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analytics techniques to derive insights from bench, pre-clinical, clinical, and real-world data.

• Lead technical feasibility assessments and collaborate with systems, hardware, firmware, clinical, and product teams to mature algorithms.

• Assess algorithm performance through simulation, modeling, and experimental evaluation.

• Provide technical guidance on algorithm architecture, design considerations, verification methods, and implementation strategies.

• Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to enhance overall system efficiency and resource management.

• Transform initial technology concepts into scalable and robust solutions ready for future product integration.

• Communicate technical insights, recommendations, and strategic direction to cross-functional leadership teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Biophysics, Statistics, or a related field with 2-4 years of industry experience; or MS with 5-7 years of relevant experience.

• High-level proficiency in Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or similar technical computing environments.

• Extensive knowledge in statistical estimation, signal processing, optimization, and mathematical modeling.

• Solid understanding of machine learning techniques and practical model development.

• Proven experience in developing algorithms for sensing, measurement systems, medical devices, or similar fields.

• Experience in analyzing large, complex datasets containing various signals and dependencies.

• Demonstrated capability to independently lead technical programs from concept to execution.

• Strong systems-thinking ability to comprehend interactions among hardware, firmware, algorithms, and user experience.

• Experience in balancing innovation, technical risk mitigation, development timelines, and implementation challenges.

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

• Ability to excel in dynamic and fast-paced technical environments.
