Staff AI Marketing Systems Engineer

📋 Description

• Identify and articulate seller, product marketing, and campaign workflows through observation and direct discussions.

• Establish agent runtime and application architecture addressing context, state, tools, permissions, retrieval, evaluation, and human review.

• Design reliable knowledge flows for account, persona, product, competitive analysis, and campaign information.

• Create routing and execution systems by selecting suitable tools, data sources, and specialist agents.

• Develop capabilities for sales asset generation, campaign briefs, competitive responses, copy production, and active-deal field support.

• Integrate AI systems with platforms such as Salesforce, Seismic, Gong, Notion, Snowflake, and Slack.

• Design retrieval systems that respect permissions, including source-level authorization, audit trails, provenance capture, prompt-injection defenses, and retention and deletion controls, ensuring safe autonomy.

• Assess and enhance agent behavior utilizing evaluation sets, seller feedback, usage data, and output-quality indicators.

• Construct evaluation frameworks, regression pipelines, release checks, and escalation pathways.

• Oversee the roadmap and entire lifecycle from prototype to production and eventual retirement.

• Track performance, usage, quality, latency, and costs; prioritize enhancements and address reliability challenges in collaboration with partner teams.

• Assess workflow outcomes including intelligence discovery time, asset production efforts, provenance, unsupported claims, adoption rates, response times, cost per request, and accuracy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in designing, constructing, and operating production AI workflows utilizing LLM APIs, tool calling, retrieval, structured outputs, and agent workflows.

• Proven experience in designing agent workflows with well-defined boundaries, context and state management, permission-aware tool usage, evaluation, observability, failure handling, and human escalation.

• Background in creating evaluation frameworks for assessing agent output quality, conducting prompt evaluations, scoring outputs, and performing regression testing.

• Experience in delivering AI-enabled software that is actively used by real users.

• Capability to select suitable methods among deterministic code, workflows, retrieval, single agents, multiple agents, and human review.

• Proficient in prototyping with users, collecting feedback, and transforming successful solutions into documented, dependable production systems.

• Ability to convert workflow requirements and insights from PMMs, sellers, and campaign managers into technical specifications.

• Skill in communicating architecture and technical trade-offs to engineers and translating workflow limitations into decisions with business stakeholders.

• Familiarity with tools such as Claude, Codex, Cursor, Dust, LangChain, or LangGraph is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Preferred: understanding of B2B SaaS marketing and sales workflows.

• Preferred: knowledge of APIs for Seismic, Salesforce, Gong, Notion, Snowflake, or Slack.

• Preferred: experience with iPaaS tools and B2B SaaS or enterprise GTM environments.

• Must already possess legal authorization to work in the United States or Canada; no work authorization, relocation assistance, or visa sponsorship will be provided.
