• Spearhead the design and advancement of agentic systems that directly engage in care delivery, aiding in care coordination, patient engagement, and the execution of significant segments of care workflows.
• Create and establish architectural frameworks for agent reasoning, tool utilization, memory management, and human-in-the-loop collaboration.
• Develop both reusable platform functionalities and product-facing applications, striking a balance between long-term architecture and swift iterations.
• Take ownership of intricate problem domains from start to finish — encompassing system design and implementation, observability, evaluation, and ongoing enhancement in a production setting.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, operators, and domain specialists to convert complex real-world processes into dependable agent behavior.
• Set benchmarks and best practices for agent evaluation, safety, and operational reliability as these systems evolve toward increased autonomy.
• Guide engineers and influence the technical trajectory across teams focused on developing agent-driven capabilities.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in developing and deploying production software systems, including a background at a Staff or Principal IC level with a focus on steering technical direction across complex systems.
• Demonstrated experience in constructing and scaling multi-agent or agent-driven systems in production, possessing real-world operational management beyond basic chat or LLM workflows.
• Practical experience with contemporary agent ecosystems, including frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, Mastra, Claude Agents SDK), observability/evaluation tools (e.g., Langfuse, LangSmith, Braintrust), MCP implementations, and leading AI SDKs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic).
• Solid understanding of systems and backend architecture principles, with a background in designing scalable and reliable systems while managing infrastructure, performance, failure modes, costs, and deployment issues.
• A clear mindset for agentic evaluation, encompassing automated evaluations, simulation-based testing, regression frameworks, metrics design, and continuous improvement loops, along with firsthand experience in addressing the performance and reliability of scaled agentic systems.
• An AI-native builder with a strong sense of ownership and rapid execution, showcasing intellectual curiosity, quick adaptation to new tools, a bias for action, and the capability to navigate ambiguous challenges from concept to production.
• An effective cross-functional collaborator and communicator, capable of partnering with Product, Operations, and domain experts to deliver comprehensive systems with measurable real-world impact.
• A technical leader who acts as a force-multiplier, enhancing clarity of thought, system design standards, and team execution.
