Staff AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Produce and deploy production-level AI code on a daily basis — you will be an integral contributor.

• Design agentic AI workflows utilizing LangGraph, Temporal, and Pydantic — creating stateful, multi-agent workflows tailored for enterprise scale and dependability.

• Manage AI observability through LangFuse: encompassing tracing, prompt versioning, evaluation, and performance benchmarking across all model interactions.

• Establish AI engineering standards for agent design patterns, RAG, prompt management, context optimization, and tool-calling methodologies.

• Collaborate with product and platform teams to implement AI architectures that fulfill enterprise SLA, security, and compliance standards.

• Assess and incorporate emerging tools — conducting benchmarks on LLM providers, orchestration frameworks, and enhancements to the agentic stack.

• Guide engineers as a natural aspect of your role — disseminating knowledge through code reviews, pairing sessions, and design discussions, rather than through management overhead.

• Advocate for Acquia's AI capabilities during customer architectural reviews, technical discovery, and roadmap discussions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years focused on the production of AI Agents.

• Practical expertise in LangGraph, Temporal, and Pydantic — dealing with stateful, cyclic, multi-agent workflows at an enterprise scale.

• Proficient in LangFuse - including tracing, evaluation, prompt management, and dataset-driven testing.

• Experienced with agent harness frameworks like LangChain or similar alternatives (e.g., LlamaIndex, CrewAI) — adept at composing chains, tools, memory, and retrieval pipelines.

• Extensive knowledge of Python and robust engineering fundamentals (testing, CI/CD, architecture).

• Experience in cloud AI deployment (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including containerization and inference cost management.

• Familiarity with RAG architecture— vector databases, embedding models, and retrieval strategies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
