Staff AI Enablement Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop initiatives based on the AI enablement roadmap for the engineering, product, and design teams.

• Decide on the tools and technologies the organization will adopt, develop internally, and establish metrics for measuring success.

• Construct the internal AI framework, which includes AI agents, automations, MCP connectors, shared prompt and skill libraries, as well as a regulated knowledge layer.

• Take ownership of experiments from start to finish utilizing a dedicated AWS account.

• Utilize Terraform to swiftly recreate environments.

• Implement and uphold secure, well-architected solutions.

• Launch experiments initially and expand successful strategies.

• Foster adoption and behavioral changes throughout the organization.

• Report directly to the Platform Engineering Manager and take responsibility for the delivery aligned with the AI enablement roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in dynamic technology organizations, including practical software engineering in areas like platform engineering, developer experience, internal tools, or infrastructure.

• Daily, hands-on proficiency with the contemporary AI stack: coding agents (such as Claude Code, Cursor), MCP servers and connectors, prompt and context engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and workflow automation platforms.

• Proven expertise in infrastructure management using infrastructure as code (Terraform or similar), a major cloud provider, and secrets and access management.

• Familiarity with CI/CD processes, including understanding pipeline costs, latency, and potential failure modes.

• Demonstrated ability in change management within medium to large organizations, incorporating champion programs, enablement content, training, and maintaining momentum post-launch with an operational rhythm.

• Knowledge of governance in data privacy, safe-use policies, vendor assessments, and access control.

• Experience navigating an approval process within a regulated setting.

• A self-starter who can work independently while knowing when to escalate issues appropriately.
