This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Product teams to convert roadmap priorities into technical designs, implementation strategies, and delivery methodologies.

• Design and implement features across various layers including application, data, and infrastructure.

• Take ownership of and enhance the core platform architecture in both Rails and Python environments.

• Make significant architectural decisions regarding service boundaries, modularization, data access patterns, and scalability.

• Construct and optimize high-scale background processing systems such as notifications, scoring, ingestion, and exports.

• Develop workflows that encompass APIs, background jobs, ingestion pipelines, search/discovery, and reporting functionalities.

• Investigate production issues, determine root causes, and enhance platform reliability.

• Implement AI-driven features including LLM orchestration, prompt workflows, and observability controls.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, refactoring, and documentation purposes.

• Document architectural decisions and system behaviors to ensure long-term maintainability.

• Work collaboratively with Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and Support teams to continuously enhance the platform.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Senior or Staff-level engineer developing production SaaS or data platforms.

• In-depth expertise in Ruby on Rails, focusing on performance, architecture, and longevity of systems.

• Robust hands-on experience with Python, preferably with FastAPI or similar frameworks.

• Experience across both application platforms and data systems including APIs, ingestion, pipelines, and reporting.

• Strong background in background processing systems such as Sidekiq, Redis, queues, and schedulers.

• Comprehensive understanding of PostgreSQL schema design and performance optimization techniques.

• Experience in designing and managing production APIs, including REST, authentication, versioning, and validation.

• Comfortable working in cloud-native, containerized environments.

• Familiarity with search and discovery systems, including full-text, semantic, and vector searches.

• A proven AI-first development approach utilizing LLMs and automation tools.

• Strong awareness of security best practices including authentication, data isolation, and secrets management.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and code quality tools.

• Excellent communication skills, particularly in the context of technical decision-making.
