This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish the technical strategy and oversee architectural design for comprehensive engagements involving cloud, data, and AI/ML systems.
• Design scalable cloud-native solutions, incorporating multi-cloud and hybrid approaches.
• Create data architectures that encompass warehouses, data lakes, as well as batch and streaming pipelines.
• Develop AI/ML systems, including model serving, MLOps pipelines, feature stores, and applications based on large language models (LLMs).
• Define infrastructure as code, CI/CD processes, and DevOps standards.
• Enhance performance, scalability, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
• Ensure that architectural solutions adhere to security, governance, and compliance standards.
• Lead initiatives for cloud migrations and platform modernization.
• Utilize AI-driven tools such as Claude and Cursor to deliver high-quality work rapidly.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and clients as the primary technical authority on strategic direction.
• Convey intricate technical concepts to both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
• Engage with engineering, data, AI, and product teams to ensure architecture aligns with business goals.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and guidelines.
• Advocate for architectural standards and best practices.
• Mentor seasoned engineers and architects.
• Take ownership of complex architectural and integration challenges as the leading technical decision-maker.
• Assess emerging technologies and suggest tools, frameworks, and design patterns.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering.
• At least 5 years in roles with technical leadership responsibilities.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms and cloud-native architectures, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong foundation in microservices, serverless architecture, containers, and event-driven systems.
• Proficient in infrastructure as code and CI/CD methodologies.
• In-depth expertise in data architecture across relational, NoSQL, and big data systems.
• Practical experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and orchestration tools.
• Significant experience in designing production-level AI/ML systems, including LLMs, MLOps, and model serving.
• Solid grasp of networking, security, identity, and access management within cloud environments.
• Experience with governance, compliance, and observability frameworks.
• Strong software engineering capabilities in Python, APIs, and containerization.
• Proven track record in senior technical leadership and mentoring experienced engineers.
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated use of AI-driven tools like Claude and Cursor.
• Experience in multi-cloud architecture, AI ethics or responsible AI, or enterprise architecture certifications such as TOGAF or AWS/Azure/GCP certifications is advantageous.
• Familiarity with designing AI/ML solutions that integrate with SAP EAM data structures via SAP BTP or cloud-native APIs is a beneficial addition.
