This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define the architecture and technical strategy for Dave’s AI Agent Factory, encompassing reusable frameworks, evaluation patterns, deployment standards, and observability.
• Design the MCP server architecture and an AI-ready data access layer to facilitate secure LLM reasoning over governed enterprise data.
• Architect the integrations between AI agents and Dave’s semantic layer to ensure consistent business definitions across analytics, reporting, and AI experiences.
• Establish governance-by-design patterns for authentication, authorization, auditability, PII protection, and responsible AI deployment.
• Create evaluation frameworks to assess agent quality, reliability, and operational performance prior to production deployment.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Data, Security, and Product teams to set technical standards that foster AI adoption throughout the organization.
• Shape the technical foundation for company-wide AI infrastructure and intelligent systems.
• Report directly to the Director of Data Platform & AI Acceleration.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, data engineering, ML infrastructure, or AI engineering.
• Proven experience in architecting and delivering production-grade AI platforms, LLM-powered applications, or autonomous agent systems.
• Extensive expertise in designing systems that securely connect LLMs to structured enterprise data via APIs, semantic layers, retrieval systems, or governance frameworks.
• Experience in designing MCP servers, function-calling frameworks, tool-use architectures, or comparable AI connectivity patterns.
• Strong foundational knowledge in software engineering with proficiency in building scalable, reliable distributed systems.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms and infrastructure, including Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Kafka, Python, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience in establishing engineering standards for testing, monitoring, CI/CD, observability, and operational excellence.
• Proven ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams without direct authority.
