This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, construct, and enhance production-grade AI agentic systems for Netomi’s foundational platform.
• Architect workflows for agents that include reasoning, tool usage, retrieval, guardrails, escalation pathways, and performance oversight.
• Assess Deep Agent, Claude Agent, OpenAI Agent, LangGraph, and other emerging agent orchestration patterns and frameworks for innovative applications.
• Develop and sustain LLM evaluation systems, encompassing LLM-as-judge workflows, regression assessments, guardrail testing, quality metrics, and analysis of production behavior.
• Identify agent performance challenges related to prompts, tool selection, retrieval quality, latency, costs, task completion, and failure modes.
• Conceptualize and implement RAG and embedding-based functionalities for enterprise knowledge access and automation workflows.
• Create scalable Python services and platform components deployed within AWS cloud environments.
• Collaborate with product, platform, and engineering teams to transform emerging agentic AI capabilities into dependable platform features.
• Establish engineering best practices for the continuous enhancement of agentic systems.
• Remain updated with advancements in LLMs, agent architectures, AI coding tools, evaluation methodologies, retrieval systems, and enterprise automation.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
• 5–7+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, applied machine learning, natural language processing, and/or the development of AI systems.
• Over 2 years of practical experience in constructing production LLM or AI agent systems.
• Proven experience in developing agents utilized in production by external clients or enterprise/business users.
• Practical experience with LangGraph, LangChain, or similar agent orchestration frameworks.
• Expertise in transforming messy, unstructured source materials into validated structured outputs utilizing schemas, ontologies, or data contracts with entity resolution, disambiguation, and conflict resolution.
• Strong Python engineering capabilities and experience in building scalable production software systems.
• Experience in designing agent architectures that involve tool usage, reasoning workflows, retrieval, memory, guardrails, and workflow orchestration.
• Experience in developing AI evaluation systems, including LLM-as-judge, guardrail assessments, regression testing, and measuring production quality.
• Solid understanding of RAG, embeddings, retrieval quality, and knowledge-grounded generation.
• Experience in deploying or managing systems within AWS cloud environments.
• Daily usage of AI coding tools such as Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar instruments in software development processes.
• Strong engineering judgment, the ability to work autonomously, and comfort in functioning as a senior individual contributor on unclear technical challenges.
