Staff Accountant – Corporate Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Prepare and record journal entries while conducting account reconciliations for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

• Maintain comprehensive accounting records and supporting schedules for corporate balance sheet and income statement accounts.

• Provide support for accounting and reporting related to fixed assets, leases, debt, equity transactions, payroll and bonus accruals, contingent liabilities, and various other corporate accounting activities.

• Assist with acquisition accounting, which includes purchase accounting entries and the integration of post-acquisition balance sheets.

• Conduct financial analyses and reconciliations for management reporting, audits, and external financial disclosures.

• Collaborate effectively with FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, Human Resources, Legal, and Operations teams.

• Prepare audit schedules and supply documentation for both internal and external audits.

• Enhance accounting processes, internal controls, and the efficiency of month-end closing.

• Engage in special projects, system implementations, and corporate finance initiatives.

• Carry out additional assigned accounting and financial reporting responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.

• 1–4 years of progressive accounting experience is necessary.

• A solid understanding of U.S. GAAP is essential.

• Knowledge of month-end closing procedures and balance sheet reconciliations is required.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are a must.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including proficiency with PivotTables, XLOOKUP, and complex formulas.

• Experience with ERP and financial management systems is beneficial.

• Preference is given to candidates with public accounting or corporate accounting experience.

• Experience in a healthcare or multi-entity organization is advantageous.

• Familiarity with lease accounting (ASC 842) is preferred.

• Experience in a multi-entity or multi-location healthcare setting is a plus.
