Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Responsible for managing accounts payable, credit card transactions, and processing employee expenses and reimbursements.

• Execute daily accounting activities, including the documentation of cash receipts, managing disbursements, and handling vendor purchase orders.

• Evaluate accounts receivable aging and offer insights for potential bad debt.

• Reconcile various accounts, such as accounts receivable, sales tax, bad debt, deferred revenue, fixed assets, and bank statements.

• Support the assessment of customer contracts and assist in establishing revenue recognition and billing schedules within NetSuite.

• Contribute to accounts receivable operations and collections initiatives.

• Monitor inventory levels and perform reconciliations.

• Aid in forecasting cash flow.

• Assist during year-end audits and prepare supporting documents for tax purposes.

• Engage in ongoing process enhancements, including leveraging AI tools to boost accuracy and efficiency.

• Carry out additional duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Knowledge of the SaaS/PaaS sector, including relevant regulations and revenue recognition practices.

• At least 2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance roles.

• Proficiency with one or more platforms such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Avalara, and Ramp.

• Capability to respond promptly in a dynamic work environment.

• Advanced Excel skills, including functions like lookups, sumifs, and pivot tables.

• Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Proven ability to foster and sustain strong professional relationships.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Ability to collaborate within a team as well as work independently in a remote setting.
