Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Manage fixed asset management (FAM) operations, which include depreciation/amortization, disposals, and lease modifications.

• Assist with daily accounting activities, including the posting of journal entries.

• Execute month-end closing procedures accurately and promptly in line with the established closing timeline.

• Prepare comprehensive and systematic monthly account reconciliations within designated deadlines.

• Support internal and external audits by providing requested schedules and relevant documentation.

• Engage in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency within the department.

• Create, update, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and departmental documentation.

• Utilize AI tools to enhance workflows and improve team productivity.

• Carry out additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is mandatory.

• CPA designation or active CPA candidacy is preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of cumulative accounting experience; experience in public accounting or with a publicly traded company is highly desirable.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups (V/XLOOKUP), and macros.

• Background in the service industry is an added advantage.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, consistently achieving high-quality results under strict deadlines.

• Strong time-management abilities with a proven track record of effectively prioritizing responsibilities.

• Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams to enhance workflows and achieve common business goals.
