Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Process and reconcile reservation payments from platforms like Airbnb within the property management system (PMS), ensuring both accuracy and completeness.

• Conduct manual entry and verification of payment data to uphold precise financial records.

• Execute backend setup and financial configurations for onboarding new vacation rental properties into the PMS.

• Manage and pay vendor invoices, including services for cleaning and maintenance, ensuring proper coding and approval.

• Oversee and pay utility bills as well as other recurring expenses for assigned properties.

• Prepare and submit monthly tax payments to local tax authorities, maintaining thorough documentation and compliance.

• Collaborate with internal teams to review and analyze property-level expenses, ensuring accuracy and identifying any discrepancies.

• Support the maintenance of organized financial records and assist in internal reporting processes.

• Liaise with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve billing issues and guarantee seamless financial operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 2+ years of accounting experience (experience in hospitality, property management, or real estate is a plus).

• Strong understanding of GAAP.

• Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.

• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.

• Capability to work independently and meet deadlines.
