Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data processing and reporting.

• Assist with all month-end closing activities, payroll accounting, and grant reporting.

• Generate accurate and dependable financial statements.

• Provide support for the annual independent audit, single audit, and Form 990.

• Create and deliver various reports to satisfy both internal and external requirements.

• Prepare monthly financial reports for the Board of Directors.

• Aid in budget development, cash flow projections, and analytical evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration.

• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.

• A minimum of 3 years of nonprofit accounting experience in an educational environment (strongly preferred).

• Familiarity with federal grant accounting.

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Experience with QuickBooks is mandatory.

• Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.

• Highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects and effectively shifting priorities.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality as required and appropriate.
