This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage invoice processing and monitor incoming payments for both fiat and cryptocurrency transactions.
• Reconcile payments between bank accounts, wallets, and exchanges.
• Oversee aging reports and follow up on unpaid balances.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate and timely billing.
• Handle vendor invoices, oversee approvals, and execute ACH, wire, and relevant cryptocurrency payments.
• Ensure that invoices are correctly coded, documented, and compliant with internal controls.
• Maintain vendor records and assist with 1099 reporting at year-end.
• Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts and crypto wallets.
• Aid in enhancing the month-end closing process.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies across various systems, entities, and currencies.
• Organize and clean up historical accounting records.
• Document standardized and rebuilt AR/AP workflows.
• Identify process inconsistencies or gaps and formulate solutions.
• Collaborate across both the Delaware C-Corp and Puerto Rico entity.
• Manage transactions involving multiple currencies, including cryptocurrency.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy across both entities.
• 2–3+ years of relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance.
• Practical knowledge in managing accounts receivable and payable, including invoicing and payment tracking.
• Experience in performing account and bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, journal entries, and AR/AP workflows.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online or a similar accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy across various accounts and transactions.
• Ability to independently identify and resolve discrepancies, escalating issues as necessary.
• Effective proactive communication skills with the capability to work efficiently in a remote, distributed setting.
• Comfortable in a dynamic environment where processes are being developed and refined.
• Preferred: experience in a startup, consulting, or professional services setting.
• Preferred: familiarity with multiple currencies and/or cryptocurrency transactions.
• Preferred: knowledge of digital assets, crypto wallets, or exchanges from an accounting or finance viewpoint.
• Preferred: experience assisting with month-end or year-end closing processes.
• Preferred: strong competency in Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas and reconciliation processes.
• Preferred: currently pursuing or interested in obtaining CPA certification.
• Preferred: bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Contract position offering interim assistance for end-of-year closing and extending into 2027.
