This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist with month-end closing processes, which includes preparing journal entries related to compensation, vendor accruals, prepaid accounts, fixed assets, expense allocations, and intangibles.
• Generate P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, and analyze variances for designated accounts.
• Aid in intercompany reconciliations and help with elimination entries.
• Execute bank reconciliations and manage cash management tasks.
• Support audit and management reporting obligations by delivering accurate and timely outputs.
• Assist with tax filing requests, business registrations, and various compliance-related tasks as required.
• Address ad hoc requests concerning financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance and BI, to address accounting-related challenges.
• Engage in cross-team training and coverage planning to ensure sufficient backup and knowledge sharing within the accounting team.
• Provide assistance and support for other non-month-end ad hoc projects or requests.
• Support functions such as Billing, Accounts Receivable, or Accounts Payable, or other unassigned areas when business needs arise.
• Juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic month-end closing environment.
• Embrace an AI and automation mindset by actively seeking opportunities to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance accounting process efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Three years of experience in public company accounting, with over one year in audit preferred.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and the full-cycle accounting close process.
• Demonstrated ability to connect processes and systems, identify issues, and implement solutions independently.
• High level of ownership and accountability for assigned tasks, ad hoc requests, and urgent deliverables.
• Self-motivated individual capable of working independently and proactively advancing tasks.
• Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to investigate variances and articulate financial movements clearly.
• Ability to operate independently with a strong initiative while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Advanced Excel skills and significant experience with large data sets.
• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
