Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the Head of Finance to manage all accounting functions and financial operations throughout the organization.

• Ensure the precision and reliability of financial statements, reports, and internal controls.

• Oversee global payroll operations, guaranteeing timely and accurate payments to employees and contractors across various regions.

• Manage and enhance payroll platforms, including Bitwage, Wise, Deel, and Payoneer.

• Ensure adherence to international payroll regulations and tax obligations.

• Supervise the complete client invoicing process, which includes billing accuracy, collections, and revenue tracking.

• Design and implement scalable invoicing and revenue recognition processes that align with business operations.

• Manage cash flow related to payroll, vendor payments, and receivables to ensure financial stability.

• Establish and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in line with GAAP and regulatory standards.

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring timely and precise reporting.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Operations, Sales) to synchronize payroll, invoicing, and financial reporting.

• Monitor and enhance financial systems, workflows, and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Provide financial insights and reporting to aid executive decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required; an MBA is preferred.

• CPA certification is highly preferred.

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including roles in leadership.

• Strong experience in managing global payroll and multi-entity accounting environments.

• Experience in SaaS, healthcare, or technology-driven organizations is advantageous.

• Advanced knowledge of General Ledger, financial closing processes, and GAAP-compliant reporting.

• Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks or comparable platforms).

• Strong understanding of revenue recognition and billing systems.

• Practical experience with platforms such as Bitwage, Wise, Deel, and Payoneer.

• In-depth understanding of international payroll operations, contractor payments, and currency management.

• Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce.

• Experience in aligning billing and revenue data with sales operations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to executive leadership.

• High attention to detail along with strong problem-solving and process improvement skills.
