This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

• Act as the main preparer for the bill payment process, ensuring vendor invoices are paid accurately and promptly.

• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations for all company accounts, promptly investigating and resolving any discrepancies.

• Take ownership of the monthly prepaid expense schedule, documenting new prepaid items and amortizing existing balances in accordance with GAAP.

• Serve as the primary preparer for fixed asset accounting, which includes additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.

• Maintain records and schedules for all security deposits (both paid and received) and conduct periodic reconciliations.

• Prepare and uphold monthly accruals, ensuring that expenses are recorded in the appropriate period as per GAAP.

• Oversee the annual preparation and filing of 1099s, ensuring timely submission to the IRS.

• Assist with month-end closing procedures, including balance sheet account reconciliations and swiftly resolving discrepancies.

• Help with audit requests by collecting necessary supporting documentation.

• Identify and propose enhancements to accounting processes and internal controls.

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 1–3 years of accounting experience, whether in public or private sectors.

• A solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus).

• CPA candidate status is preferred (or actively pursuing CPA licensure).

• Possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
