Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the main liaison for vendors, employees, and state agencies concerning inquiries related to payments and expenses.

• Manage the accounts payable workflow in Ramp from the receipt of invoices to the execution of payments.

• Ensure the integrity of vendor records, including W-9 documentation and compliance obligations.

• Oversee the corporate card and employee expense reimbursement procedures within Ramp.

• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations in NetSuite and resolve any outstanding items.

• Document and categorize routine general ledger entries while identifying discrepancies.

• Administer sales and use tax software Anrok and oversee customer tax exemption certificates.

• Assist with month-end closing processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and necessary supporting documentation.

• Facilitate audit requests, data cleanup efforts, and initiatives aimed at process enhancement.

• Undertake ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.

• Report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager and collaborate with accounting professionals and various departments.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a similar field is preferred, or equivalent experience.

• 1–2 years of experience in accounting; internships or relevant support experience are encouraged.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Proactive attitude with a sense of ownership, inquisitive nature, and follow-through.

• Willingness to learn new systems and enhance skill sets.

• Collaborative mindset with the capacity to work across various departments.

• Must reside in the United States; preference for candidates in Eastern or Central Time zones.

• Knowledge of accounting principles, including debits, credits, journal entries, and reconciliations.

• Familiarity with ERP, AP, or expense management systems such as NetSuite, Ramp, or Navan is preferred.

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the US.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
