Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the preparation and reconciliation of prepaid expense schedules and accrual entries, including monthly journal entries, ensuring accurate and timely recognition in line with GAAP.

• Oversee the fixed asset register, managing additions, disposals, and monthly depreciation entries.

• Input monthly payroll and benefit journal entries, ensuring precision and appropriate coding across various departments.

• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to maintain lease schedules and record monthly entries in compliance with ASC 842.

• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, promptly investigating and resolving any discrepancies.

• Support audit requests by gathering documentation, preparing schedules, and maintaining organized, audit-ready workpapers across all accounting functions.

• Develop and enhance SOPs for accounting processes, promoting ongoing improvements.

• Assist with daily accounting operations, including ad hoc requests, compliance maintenance, management of the accounting inbox, and facilitating internal and external communications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.

• Experience with NetSuite and Ramp is advantageous.

• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets.

• A positive, self-driven team player with outstanding attention to detail and organizational capabilities.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across different functions.

• Capability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic, small team environment.
