Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute month-end and year-end financial closing activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, and assist in the preparation of financial statements.

• Conduct technical accounting research and documentation to substantiate accounting positions, policies & procedures, as well as significant and non-recurring transactions.

• Implement and maintain internal controls, documentation, and compliance procedures to ensure audit readiness.

• Carry out monthly due diligence reporting to confirm fluctuations in financial statements.

• Collaborate with the Controller to ensure the successful completion of annual financial statement audits, preparing necessary support for auditors and coordinating with external consultants when required.

• Collect and organize data for external tax professionals to assist with Federal, State, and local tax filings.

• Provide support for reporting and ad hoc analyses as needed.

• Offer accounting assistance for system implementations, ensuring data integrity and effective accounting system integrations.

• Identify and implement process improvements aimed at boosting efficiency through automation and electronic tools.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of progressive professional accounting experience, with familiarity in complex close cycles.

• CPA license required.

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Advanced skills in Excel, Netsuite, and G-suite.

• Experience with multi-entity operations or healthcare accounting processes and procedures.

• Exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
