This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• The Staff Accountant role involves analyzing and reporting financial data to enhance business efficiency.
• Manage business transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense reports, and receipts.
• Engage in essential aspects of the monthly financial close to guarantee timely and precise reporting of financial outcomes.
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile various balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Assist employees, vendors, clients, and/or customers by responding to inquiries related to accounts, procedures, and services.
• Oversee accounting functions that contribute to an efficient month-end closing process, including reporting responsibilities.
• Properly organize and manage financial data.
• Regularly verify bookkeeping accuracy and provide necessary reports for audits.
• Review and revise accounting processes and procedures as required.
• Offer financial recommendations.
• Collaborate with the accounting team as needed.
• Maintain confidential and secure storage of critical financial information.
• Ensure all bookkeeping is accurate and complies with state and federal regulations.
• Complete ad hoc projects and generate monthly reports as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive and operational accounting experience.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products.
• Comfortable with GAAP principles in an operational context.
• Must successfully pass an extensive background check and drug screening.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with software system conversions is an advantage.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
• Capability to organize work, identify and complete critical tasks, and operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds across various locations and departments.
• Skill in clearly articulating ideas (both written and verbal) to internal and external customers while effectively listening to customer needs.
• Ability to cultivate and maintain strong workplace relationships with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Willingness to embrace new projects or assignments as they arise.
• Adaptability to a rapidly changing environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time, including some overnight travel.
