This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare journal entries for monthly closing with precise account, subsidiary, and period classifications.
• Conduct documented balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations across various accounts.
• Generate recurring accruals, prepaid amortization schedules, and fixed asset/depreciation schedules.
• Investigate and resolve close exceptions while preparing intercompany entries.
• Process and review vendor invoices utilizing the automated accounts payable workflow.
• Maintain vendor master records and validate W-9 and banking information.
• Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies, short payments, and aged items.
• Create accounts payable aging reports and recommend payment schedules.
• Address vendor inquiries and process/audit employee expense reports.
• Ensure accurate customer invoicing and reconcile billed amounts with the general ledger.
• Manage accounts receivable aging, apply cash receipts, and assist with collections follow-up.
• Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, work papers, and supporting documentation.
• Compile data extracts and account-level schedules for reporting packages.
• Assist with sales, use, and indirect tax filings.
• Work in NetSuite and the accounts payable automation platform, identifying data and workflow issues.
• Document and enhance recurring processes while contributing to close-automation initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience in public accounting or industry.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and standard accounting practices, including accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets.
• Practical experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar.
• Proficient in Excel, including lookups and pivot tables.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple close-calendar deadlines.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication with internal teams, vendors, and auditors.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment with the judgment to ask questions rather than make assumptions.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
• CPA licensed or actively preparing for the exam is preferred.
• Experience in energy, renewables, infrastructure, construction, growth-stage, or project-based businesses is preferred.
• Experience with multi-entity or multi-currency operations, including intercompany transactions, is preferred.
• Familiarity with accounts payable automation or reconciliation tools is preferred.
