Sports Trader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee risk and liability management across Betr's sportsbook markets in line with Betr's risk and trading standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Price and trade markets in real-time, including in-play/live betting, while adjusting lines according to action, news, and the evolving game state.

• Keep track of league updates, injuries, lineups, and weather conditions to make immediate market adjustments before and during events.

• Establish and modify Betr's opening and closing lines in alignment with market consensus and significant market movements.

• Manage liability limits, exposure, and bet acceptance criteria across various accounts and markets.

• Aid in the analysis of daily reports to ensure accurate customer/account profiling, hold rates, and other vital trading metrics.

• Work together with operations and trading technology to improve market coverage, reduce latency, and enhance the overall customer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in trading on a Sports Betting platform.

• Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in calculating odds.

• Highly motivated self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to staying informed on industry trends and best practices.

• Strong critical thinking skills with effective problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and remain unfazed by ambiguity or change.

• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, enabling clear and effective interactions with team members and stakeholders, both internally and externally.

• Self-motivated with the capability to manage initiatives from inception to completion, holding oneself to a high standard of excellence.

• An entrepreneurial mindset complemented by excellent organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
