Sponsorship & Events Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Create and execute events and sponsorship initiatives that align with LIC’s strategic goals and deliver measurable benefits.

• Ensure that events, sponsorships, and partnerships are purpose-driven and support business objectives.

• Identify, negotiate, and oversee sponsorship and partnership opportunities.

• Assess and evaluate performance to optimize return on investment and facilitate ongoing improvement.

• Leverage customer insights and data to design targeted initiatives that enhance participation, engagement, and overall impact.

• Lead the planning and execution of high-quality events.

• Foster relationships with farmer shareholders, customers, and industry stakeholders.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners on initiatives that enhance LIC’s reputation and support commercial success.

• Report to the Communications and Brand Engagement Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering corporate events, conferences, sponsorship programs, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

• Strong strategic planning capabilities aligned with organizational objectives and business outcomes.

• Excellent stakeholder management, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.

• Experience in managing budgets, contracts, and evaluating return on investment.

• Ability to utilize customer insights and data to inform decision-making and enhance engagement.

• Confident presenter and brand ambassador, comfortable representing the organization at events and industry engagements.

• Exceptional project management and organizational abilities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with event management platforms, CRM systems, and reporting tools.
