This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Establish strong customer relationships and address their needs.
• Develop pre-call plans using SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations.
• Manage objections and initiate calls to action to finalize sales calls.
• Create and execute call plans to enhance customer coverage and sales opportunities.
• Gather market intelligence on customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales.
• Communicate market intelligence with field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with designated healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates.
• Collaborate with field team members, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand-plan stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a related business field preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience required.
• Relevant equivalent industry experience in place of a bachelor's degree: a minimum of five years of experience, with three or more years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sector preferred.
• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Proven success record in sales.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Capability to adjust selling approach according to customer style and behavior.
• Ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
• Skill in influencing others and serving as a credible peer resource.
• Collaborative skills in district and matrix teams.
• Documented achievements in leadership and support roles of increased responsibility.
• Understanding of findings and ability to devise sales strategies.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements and be eligible for necessary credentials.
• Extensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking abilities.
• Capacity to operate effectively in a matrix environment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and adhere to safe driving requirements.
• Capability to drive a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
