This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Implement AbbVie brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster robust customer relationships and respond to customer needs.
• Develop pre-call strategies utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Manage objections and secure actions to conclude sales discussions.
• Formulate and execute call plans to maximize customer interaction and sales potential.
• Acquire knowledge regarding customer requirements, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales methodologies.
• Convey market insights to field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Highlight AbbVie's value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates.
• Collaborate with specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, field teams, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand stakeholders.
• A bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent industry experience is required.
• A minimum of five years of relevant industry experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
• Three or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors is preferred.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• A proven history of sales achievements.
• Excellent presentation abilities.
• Capability to adjust the sales approach based on customer style and behavior.
• Ability to devise innovative solutions and business opportunities.
• Proficiency in influencing others and acting as a credible peer resource.
• Skills in collaborative partnerships within district and matrix teams.
• Documented success in leadership and support at district, regional, or organizational levels.
• Experience in developing sales strategies based on insights.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Must fulfill relevant HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain them.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business insight and familiarity with business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• A valid driver's license.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with safe driving standards.
