This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in West Virginia.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and address customer needs effectively.
• Develop pre-call plan objectives and perform post-call evaluations.
• Manage objections, clarifications, and concerns to secure calls to action for closing sales.
• Address customer needs, expectations, and challenges to foster trusted relationships and reach mutually beneficial agreements.
• Create and implement call plans to enhance coverage and frequency with key customers.
• Gain insights into customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Communicate market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Highlight AbbVie's value proposition to assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie's business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Keep patient welfare at the forefront of all efforts.
• A bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
• At least five years of relevant industry experience is required in lieu of a bachelor's degree, including a minimum of three years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Demonstrated history of leadership success.
• Strong presentation abilities.
• Excellent business acumen.
• Competence in utilizing business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and adapt the selling approach accordingly.
• Proficient in operating effectively within a matrix environment.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical commercial industry is preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Preferred in-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive landscapes.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is preferred for non-English-speaking regions.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements and maintain good standing, or be eligible to obtain such credentials.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must meet safe driving standards.
• Capability to drive a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
