This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in West Virginia.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster strong customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales performance.
• Develop pre-call strategies and execute post-call evaluations to enhance sales effectiveness.
• Manage objections, clarify misunderstandings, and address concerns; ensure actionable outcomes and successfully close sales opportunities.
• Attend to customer needs and expectations while cultivating trusted relationships and mutually beneficial agreements.
• Create and implement call plans that fulfill call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Gain insights into customer needs, the market landscape within the territory, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical topics, and sales strategies.
• Provide market intelligence to in-field teams, brand personnel, sales teams, and the sales manager.
• Highlight AbbVie’s value proposition to assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations, prioritizing patient-centered initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a related business field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience is required.
• At least five years of relevant industry experience is needed in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, including a minimum of three years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors is preferred.
• A high school diploma/GED is mandatory if relying on experience instead of a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated history of leadership success.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Excellent business acumen.
• Proficient in the use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and swiftly adapt sales approaches.
• Competent in functioning effectively within a matrix environment.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical commercial industry is preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• In-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive factors is preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language is preferred in non-English-speaking countries.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing standards and be in good standing or eligible to acquire these credentials.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license is required.
• Capability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test is necessary.
• Must comply with safe driving standards.
