This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts to optimize both short- and long-term sales performance.
• Cultivate robust customer relationships and address customer needs effectively.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call strategies and perform post-call assessments to enhance sales effectiveness.
• Address objections and consistently secure actionable conclusions during sales calls.
• Attend to customer requirements and foster trustworthy relationships to establish mutually beneficial agreements.
• Formulate and implement call plans that maximize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Enhance knowledge of customer demands, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical topics, and sales.
• Share market insights with in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Travel roughly 50% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related area preferred, or equivalent industry experience required.
• A minimum of five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred: Three or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical, health, or science industry.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Demonstrated history of leadership success.
• Strong presentation abilities.
• Robust business acumen and proficiency with business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to recognize customer styles and behaviors and adjust the sales approach accordingly.
• Competence in operating effectively within a matrix environment.
• Preferred: Sales performance experience in the relevant therapeutic area.
• Preferred: Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry.
• Preferred: Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Preferred: Proficiency in English.
• Must meet the necessary HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Capable of passing a pre-employment drug screening test and meeting safe driving requirements.
• Ability to operate a personal or company vehicle or powered material-handling equipment.
