This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales performance.
• Develop pre-call planning objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings while securing calls to action during sales engagements.
• Attend to customer requirements and establish reliable customer relationships.
• Formulate and implement call plans to meet key metrics and improve customer coverage and frequency.
• Acquire knowledge of customer needs, the territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales strategies.
• Communicate market intelligence with field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to the assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Prioritize the patient in all initiatives.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
• Alternatively, at least five years of experience, including a minimum of three years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED required.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to identify customer styles/behaviors and adjust selling approaches accordingly.
• Competence in developing sales strategies and innovative solutions.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Skill in influencing others and serving as a credible role model and resource.
• Ability to foster collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams.
• Documented success in leadership and support roles with increasing responsibilities.
• Proven sales achievements in relevant therapeutic areas preferred.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain them.
• Background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunizations/vaccinations, and fingerprinting may be required.
• Valid driver’s license is necessary.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and adhere to safe driving standards.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
